The above video shows a bit of what I faced when walking out of my apartment complex this morning: intense cold plus a lot of snow. A lot of snow.

So much, in fact, that I had to stop reading the second Twin Peaks book as the train broke down, and walk from one subway station to the next:

A frisky walk later and I'm safe. It's not like Stalingrad; and just imagine the homeless and how they live, not only today but every day.
